No. PRP hair restoration is considered a cosmetic treatment and is not covered by insurance at Aesthetics MedSpa.
Results vary, but most clients maintain their results with a treatment every three to six months following the initial series of three monthly sessions.
Most clients begin noticing reduced shedding within the first few months, with visible improvements in hair density typically continuing over several months of treatment.
We recommend avoiding saunas, steam rooms, and swimming for two days post-treatment, along with vigorous exercise and excessive sun or heat exposure at the injection site.
Because the plasma injected into your scalp is entirely your own blood, the risk of an allergic reaction is essentially eliminated. Rare side effects can include minor bruising, tenderness, or scar tissue at the injection site. We’ll review your full medical history at your consultation. PRP isn’t recommended for clients on blood thinners, with an active scalp infection, or with chronic liver disease.
