Most frequent questions and answers
Rich Fibrin (PRF) is more powerful than Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). PRF provides platelets, just like PRP, but also delivers growth factors, stem cells, and white blood cells, for example, leukocytes. Furthermore, the platelet-rich fibrin matrix serves as scaffolding to keep the growth factors and stem cells localized in the area being treated. The bottom line is that PRF contributes more elements to further facial skin rejuvenation than PRP.
PRF facial skin rejuvenation helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, helps tighten skin and improve tone, reduces pores, minimizes scars, and assists with discoloration. It’s an effective treatment for a large variety of skin conditions, regardless of skin type because it activates and aids the body’s natural healing process.
- Nasolabial folds
- Cheeks
- Chin
- Under the eyes (eye hollows)
- Jawline
You’ll see results a few weeks after your first PRF facial treatment and will keep improving for a few months. However, there are various factors that can influence the results and the number of treatments required. These include the patient’s degree of skin damage, age, health, etc. During the consultation, we’ll assess your skin and medical history. We’ll also discuss your desired outcome and develop an ideal treatment plan to help you achieve your goals.
Patients do report discomfort at the treatment sites. There is usually some soreness after the procedure but this is usually short-lived. The PRF facial is less painful than other treatments like skin resurfacing. During your treatment, you’ll be provided with a topical numbing agent to make the experience more comfortable. Patients unanimously agree that the spectacular rejuvenation results more than make up for the minor discomfort they experience during the procedure.
