While results vary by individual, many patients enjoy improved skin texture and reduced signs of aging for several months up to 1–2 years. Consistent skin care and periodic touch-up treatments can help maintain these benefits.
Most patients report only minimal discomfort during the treatment, especially since a numbing cream is applied to the injection sites beforehand. Any mild pain is typically short-lived.
Results are typically seen two to three weeks after the first treatment. A series of one to three treatments spaced about one to two months apart is recommended, although this can vary by individual.
PRP facial treatments are generally safe when performed by experienced professionals. However, they may not be suitable for individuals with certain blood disorders or severe skin damage.
They do different things. PRP focuses on skin rejuvenation by improving texture, elasticity, and overall skin quality using your body’s own healing factors. Botox relaxes muscles to smooth expression lines. Many clients use both as part of a balanced treatment plan.
PRP may help improve overall skin quality and support healing, but it’s not a primary treatment for rosacea. If you have active redness or flare-ups, your provider will determine whether PRP is appropriate or recommend treatments better suited for sensitive skin.
